Speckled Wood Art

Jim Woodman

A landscape painter mainly of Skye and the North West of Scotland but also of the Thames Valley. His inspiration comes from the intense colours of the Scottish Highlands which he captures in oils or watercolours. Jim's paintings are an emotional response to the landscape in the tradition of Scottish colourists, rather than a photographic image.

Jim's work is held in private collections throughout the UK, Europe and the USA and Canada. He is an elected Full Member of the National Society of Painters, Sculptors and Engravers and a winner of the Aya Broughton prize at the Annual Exhibition of the society in 2006.
